Imidacloprid is a type of insecticide that is derived from toxins found in tobacco plants. It can be applied to plants in several forms. It can be sprayed onto foliage, applied as a soil granule, or allowed to be absorbed by the roots. Since it is a systemic chemical, its active ingredients are absorbed by the plant which flow to each and every part through the vascular system of the plant.
